AREQUIPA - CUZCO - PUNO

Arequipa, recognize as
"Cultural Patrimony of the Humanity", Colca Canyon,
one of the deepest and more dominant canyons on the
world. With small towns that preserve their customs
and traditions. Puno, a chilly wind follows the dawn
that is painting its way across the Andes. Nestled
along the mountainous border of Bolivia and Peru at
12,530 feet, Lake Titicaca, one of the highest
navigable lakes in the world, is a mirror of bright
hues, and the scene of a conflict. Hanging from the
clouds, the citadel of Machu Picchu, unknown to the
Spanish conquerors of the Incas, remained hidden
from the outside world until discovered by Hiram
Bingham in 1911, Cuzco and more .....
  
Itinerary
Day 1: .... / Arequipa
-
One of our
representatives will be waiting for you at the airport and you will be taken
to your hotel to acclimatize to the altitude – we suggest you to rest for no
less than 2 hours.

In the
afternoon you will be taken on a city tour, where many of the colonial
buildings are made of white ashler stone.

Day
2 and 3: Arequipa / Colca / Puno

Breakfast.

You will
start early to spend as much time as possible in the majestic Peruvian
highlands arriving at the Colca Canyon lookout point "Cruz del Condor"
in Chivay where you have a panoramic view of the canyon. During your journey
you will not only see amazing panoramas but also typical Andean villages and
fauna-llamas, alpacas and vicuñas which the inhabitants use to make the
finest of textiles. To fully enjoy the trip we have arranged an overnight
stay in a lodge close to the canyon so that you will have every opportunity
of snapping condors and snapping up textile bargains.

afternoon of day 3 our private transportation will take us to Puno Hotel.

4: Puno
Day 5: Puno / Cuzco

Breakfast.

We
will transfer you to the bus station so you can take a bus to Cuzco.

After
a beautiful 08 hour bus ride to Cuzco where you were able to see spectacular
views of the Andes, and stop in 3 archaeological places, we will transfer
you to your hotel.

Day 6: Cuzco

Breakfast.

Early
in the afternoon you will be taken on a city tour + nearby ruins (Sacsayhuaman,
Qenqo, Puca Pucara & Tambomachay), since this is a half day tour, you will
be returning in the later afternoon, for dinner we suggest you to enjoy the
local cuisine.

Day 7: Cuzco / Sacred Valley

Breakfast and early start, you will be taken through the Inca Sacred Valley.
During this trip you will visit the impressive Indian market of Pisac and
archaeological site of Ollantaytambo.

Since
this is a full day tour, we will be returning to Cuzco in the late
afternoon.

Overnight
Day 8: Cuzco / Machu Picchu

Breakfast.

We
will pick you up early in the morning to take you to the train station.

Train
to Machu Picchu (approx 4 hours).

Arrival and guided tour of one of the most awe inspiring places in the
world.

Return
to Cuzco by train, arrival and transfer to the Hotel.
